Spaying or neutering one dog in the Rio Grande Valley costs more than many families here can spare, so the litters keep coming, and rescues like ours keep pulling puppies off the street. Every surgery that gets funded is a litter that never needs rescuing at all. SpaceX’s sponsorship underwrites a full year of that work: surgery, vaccines, transport and recovery care for low-income pet owners across our community, at no cost to the families who need it most.
Many of our foster homes belong to SpaceX employees and their families, who have been opening their living rooms to Brownsville’s dogs long before this campaign began. We are an all-volunteer, foster-based rescue with no shelter and no paid staff. Support like this doesn’t disappear into overhead...it goes straight into the one thing that makes next year’s problem smaller! THANK YOU SPACEX!
